The program is designed to give a comprehensive overview of the Energy and Environmental programs of the European Commission, focusing on the practical aspects of project proposal development. The trainers are all professionals, who have developed, negotiated and managed close to a hundred environmental/energy EC projects. Pre-Accession Funds:
PHARE
SAPARD
ISPA |
For the period up to 2006, the Union will provide support under the three pre-accession instruments to candidate countries: PHARE, ISPA, and SAPARD, which are vitally important, as they will have an impact on the candidate countries' economies, cover so vital areas as transport, agriculture and the environment in general. Pre-accession funds will generate more money, therefore shape the future of at least two major sectors in the accession countries - transport and agriculture. |

Structural Funds are the European Union's main instruments for supporting social and economic restructuring across the Union. ERDF covers all areas: transport, communication technologies, energy, the environment, research and innovation, social infrastructure, etc. The Cohesion Fund finances projects designed to improve the environment and develop transport infrastructure in Member States whose per capita GNP is below 90% of the Community average. |

Interreg III supports cross-border, transnational and
transregional cooperation and regional developmnent.
Urban 2 Community Initative aims to support troubled
urban districts of the EU. For the period 2000-2006 the
total cost of tje programmes is euro 1.6 billion.
Leader + is designed to help rural actors consider the long-term potential of their local region. |
