The rising prices of oil, the electricity problems in some large geographical regions, the discussions on nuclear energy, the ambitious aims of Europe for environment protection, the necessity of new energy sources, the need for increasing the competitiveness of Bulgarian companies through energy saving… These are only some of the issues pointing the outstanding priority of the congress topic. Alternative energy sources are at a great demand at the moment, which will considerably affect the economic and the environmental protection. This truly international Â2Â event will take place a year after the first International Conference on Energy Efficiency in Construction was held. It had over 300 participants from Bulgaria and other European countries. |

The aim of the Congress is to present the European and Bulgarian policies and good practices concerning Energy efficiency (EE) and Renewable energy sources (RES), new energy saving technologies and equipment, as well as different ways of financing the implementation of such projects in industry and construction in front of the representatives of businesses, central and local authorities. |

Participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Poland, Romania, Russia, The Czech Republic, Croatia, France, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Serbia & Montenegro, Austria, Belgium and other countries have shown interest in taking part in the Congress.
The most actively involved sectors are power industry, environmental protection, design and construction, communications, automation, producers and salesmen of relevant machines and equipment, banks and financial institutions, as well as state institutions, and non-governmental organisations.
