Via Expo is a full service company in the field of organizing professional exhibitions, conferences, training seminars, business meetings, etc. It was established in 1992 in Bulgaria by Yoannis Liakatas – an expert with more than 40 years experience in the field of the trade shows in Greece. He owns a company for stand design and construction in Greece. In the period of 1987 – 1994 Yoannis Liakatas built and decorated the stands and the stages of Femina Exhibition in Athens. At the same date when Greece has signed the contract with EU Mr Liakatas organized together with the Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry the Greek Fashion exhibition with a review in Brussels. In 2000 Mr. Liakatas cooperated with the Turkish company Turkel for the Turkish Fashion Show in Athens with 1200 sq.m. stands and stage for review and 65 participants. He also cooperates with the American Chamber of Commerce for all of their events in Greece.
Via Expo started with 2 small bazaars “School” and “Christmas” in 1992. The same year we signed a contract for cooperation with the US Embassy in Bulgaria for stand construction of the official US participation at Plovdiv International Technical Fair. During the period of 1993 - 1995 we were the official contractors of the US Pavilion. Since 1996 we have received the license from the Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. to organize and manage it.
In 1995 we signed an agreement with the Paris Chamber of Commerce for their exhibitions in Bulgaria – the official French participation at Plovdiv International Fair and the annual French exhibition in Sheraton Hotel, Sofia.
Since 1999 we cooperate with the South Africa Embassy for organizing their official participation at Plovdiv International Fair.
Via Expo is a pioneer in the specialized exhibitions in Bulgaria. Our exhibitions have a specific character – they aim mainly at specialists from various branches. We manage a computer visitor’s registration and attracts foreign participants from 4 continents.
From 1993 we started a good cooperation with Montgomery Network (UK). We worked for organizing the Bulgarian participation at their exhibitions in England, Poland, Hungary and China.

In 2004 Via Expo in cooperation with the Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Agency organized the International Conference and Exhibition on Energy Efficiency in Construction under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Resources and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.

The 1-st International Congress on Energy Efficiency & Renewable Enårgy Sources in Industry and Construction was held in Plovdiv, 13-15 April 2005. There were more than 350 attendees from 28 countries. |

| In 2004 we organized a training seminar “How to write project proposals for European Funding” in cooperation with the Hungarian company Geonardo. Since then we continue to organize such training seminars every month. |

We also work for bringing Bulgarian export companies at international exhibitions abroad: IFE Poland, IFE Hungary , Fresh Food Moscow , some construction & cosmetic exhibitions in Ukraine, some branch exhibitions in Asia (organized by Montgomery Network ). Via Expo has established a wide network of partners from abroad for attracting foreign exhibitors to our exhibitions as well as for inviting foreign buyers at events, organized in Bulgaria. |

In 2005 Via Expo has signed an agreement for sales agent of EPTEE 2006 - the 7th China International Environmental Protection Tech & Equipment Exhibition in Shanghai, China. We are exclusively responsible for South Eastern Europe and also we can work at the territory of Poland, Belgium, Denmark, Spain and other European countries.

Via Expo is a member of WPO (World Packaging Organization), COPE (Confederation of Organisers of Packaging Exhibitions), REEEP (Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Partnership) and Association of the Exhibition Organisers in Europe (XM Europe) . In 2002 Mrs. Maya Kristeva was invited to be a speaker at the annual seminar of XM Europe.
